I am on a new journey!! I’ve gone off the grid and living in my cabin in north western Maine near the Canadian border. No electricity and no phone. Lugging water from the river and boiling it to wash up, cook with, and wash dishes. I do have a propane tank to cook, for lights, and heat. I have a wood stove back up.
We are a month behind for planting. I will get seedlings planted after this last Full Moon in June. I will do carrots, potatoes, squash, cucumbers, zucchini, beans, and tomatoes. Keeping it simple this first summer.
The agenda is a new roof, composting toilet, and solar shower before Winter which is six months away. Oh, a root cellar is high priority as well.
Join me in my new adventure in “Cabin Life” off the grid.
Cheers — Drew Frederic
